Check what Triggers UK Airport Staffs to go on strike

As we get closer to Christmas festive seasons, many are busily making arrangements to travel to different corners of the world where they will have a peaceful and memorable moments with their love ones. But unfortuanately, UK airport staffs staged a strike, which leaves everyone confused.

Members of the union in England and Wales were due to walk out on 28 December in an increasingly bitter dispute over pay and staffing.

But, the good news reaching GreatNews Team indicates, following “incredible” support during industrial action by the union this week, the strike has been suspended, with a further date for action scheduled on January 11 2023.

A strike by ground handling staff at Heathrow has ended, after they were offered and accepted a pay increase of 9.5% backdated to May, with an extra 1% from January.

The head of one of Britain’s biggest trade unions has urged ministers to make a pay offer to striking workers, insisting it does not necessarily have to beat inflation.

Since the strike has being call off, Christmas activities including air travels can bounce back massively in UK and in neighbouring countries.

Some Developed and most developing countries faced strong financial difficulties and inflation this year, which really collapse their economy, making smooth running of government very difficult.

One of African countries that suffer most is Ghana, whose currency was less valuable in the whole world, and every month , group of workers goes on strike.
