Kpordui Community can Finally Smile, MP for Anlo offically hands over their Classroom Project
The people of Adjato electoral area specifically Kpordui, Sokutsime, Amenyokorfe, Hadota are thanking their stars for having a workaholic Member of Parliament Hon. Richard Kwami Sefe of the above mentioned Constituency who has brought light to the people of Kpordui D/A Basic school.
The pupils and staff of the aforementioned, school are forever grateful for the unprecedented three-unit classroom block, an office, store room and playground for the children. The MP did this yeoman's Job in partnership with an NGO called Adanu and the community.
The speech delivery by the MP made mention of how eager his constituents were craving for development during his electioneering campaign tour and being worked for over two decades as both a teacher and an examination officer, he appreciates the fact that, due to the increasing number of students and inadequate classroom in some schools the District has not been able to maintain the quality of education. In this regard, he was challenged to engaged an NGO to help provide a conducive and an enabling environment for both teachers and pupils to improve the academic performance of the pupils.
He added that, as part of his agenda termed the *"BIG PUSH",* building classroom blocks and providing teaching and learning materials will significantly propel the Ghana Education Service's attainment of its target of increasing the enrollment rate of rural communities in Anlo.
The MP pleaded with the District Chief Executive of Anloga to help furnish the classrooms with desks and other teaching and learning materials. Briefly, he ended his speech by tasking the headmistress to provide the number of students at the kindergarten so that he can provide them with desks as soon as possible.
Other speeches were delivered, passing through was DCE Hon. Seth Yormewu who was amazed there was no single government project on the school compound therefore, promised to do anything in his power by doing the needful towards the achievement of academic excellence for our pupils.
[Other dignitaries at the function were the Founder and Executive Director of Adanu and the staff, Agbotadua for Torgbui Agbageda III and his entourage, the Municipal Engineer, The Assembly member, NDC Constituency Executives and some Branch executives, NEC member, Wonder Victor Kutor who also donated his widows might of Gh¢500.00 to the school and the community through the MP. ]
The headmistress Mad. Senam Tettevi thanked all those who helped for this project to see the light of day and continued by admonishing the teachers and students to take teaching and learning seriously since this is first and foremost mandate of the school.
